Joseph Yates

Joe Yates has worked at DBBWC since 2000. Clerking for Roger Dreyer immediately exposed him to trial work. Since becoming an attorney, Joe has had an active litigation practice with claims involving wrongful death, public entities, product liability and premises liability, to name a few. Joe is also a licensed contractor and accomplished cyclist and routinely draws on that knowledge when litigating claims.

Over the past five years, Bob Bale has been instrumental in the prosecution of some of the firm’s most significant high-profile cases. Working with firm founder Roger Dreyer, Bob helped achieve record verdicts in cases against MasterCraft Boat Co. and Ford Motor Co. In the Ford case, Roger and Bob were nominated by Consumer Attorneys of California as Trial Attorneys of the Year for 2013, in recognition of the $75 million verdict obtained. Bob also worked on the Strange v. Entercom “water intoxication” case, helping to achieve a landmark victory that prompted significant changes in the way the radio industry administers listener contests. Bob is vice president of the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association and serves on the Board of Governors of Consumer Attorneys of California.

Jonathan Hayes

Jon Hayes started with the firm as a law clerk in early 2000. After graduating from Pacific McGeorge in 2004, he took a position with the firm as an associate attorney. He has distinguished himself in the firm through consistent results and dedication to his clients and their cases. He has tried a number of cases to verdict and continues to mentor and educate young lawyers in the community. The firm is happy to have him as a partner and wishes him continued success.
