ABOTA 2012 Trial Lawyer Of The Year – Robert Buccola

Robert A. Buccola Named The 2012 California Trial Lawyer Of The Year By The American Board Of Trial Advocates

ABOTA

Sacramento, CA – Robert A. Buccola, co-founding partner of the Sacramento law firm Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora, LLP, was named the California State 2012 Trial Lawyer of the Year by the California chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is a civil trial merit-based organization consisting of a highly accomplished group of civil trial lawyers, made up of both plaintiff and defendant lawyers, and includes less than 1 percent of all practicing lawyers. Annually, leaders from eight geographic areas vote for nominees selected from various regions who represent the very best trial lawyers in the state. The statewide award has historically been awarded most frequently to Los Angeles- and San Francisco-based trial lawyers.

“The recipient of the award is never just a yearly standout, but instead brings a lifetime of remarkable achievements in the law, both inside and outside the courtroom. Clearly, Bob is one of the most deserving lawyers to have been nominated for the award,” says attorney Phil Baker, past president of the Los Angeles chapter of ABOTA.

“I’m honored and humbled to have been voted CAL-ABOTA’s selection as Trial Lawyer of the Year and grateful to my local chapter members for all their kind support. It’s not possible to work with a more talented and devoted group of legal professionals from all staffing levels, inclusive of every lawyer and partner in our office. Many thanks,” said Mr. Buccola.

Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora has the unique distinction to have two recipients of this coveted statewide award. Mr. Buccola’s partner, Roger Dreyer, was awarded the 2004 Trial Lawyer of the Year from ABOTA. This is the only firm in California where two attorneys in the same office have achieved such an accolade.
