The families of two boys who were electrocuted earlier this year have received a $14 million settlement from the Solano Irrigation District. The boys died after jumping into a water canal in Dixon, CA in an attempt to rescue a dog. As the boys climbed out of the canal, they grasped an energized metal railing and were electrocuted.
Robert Buccola and Andrea Crowl, of Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora, represented the family of one of the 17-year-old boys.
The water district was legitimately apologetic and concerned about this heartbreaking event, coming to a quick settlement for the boys’ families and pledging their commitment to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
