As his right arm broke through the windshield, he suffered severe lacerations resulting in nerve damage to his right upper extremity. Plaintiff was hospitalized and incurred $64,000 in medical expenses. His arm was repaired and he did regain use of his right hand. Defendant claimed that Mr. Farris would regain nearly full use of his hand and should not notice any permanent restrictions. This case resolved for the defendant's policy limits of $1 million.
